Performance notes: Mr. Cisco is one of my favorite authors, and in addition to teaching and his own wors, he also has done work as a translator. This piece (posted on Weird Fiction Review) struck me with it's dream-like textures and excellent language. Much like The Red Laugh, I thought this deserved some kind of audio performance. To enhance the dream-like mood of the piece, I felt subtle atmospherics could enhance the performance. The instrumental piece is included with the download. I am hopeful that I will encounter other stories that would benefit from this kind of treatment.
